The theme for International Women’s Day this year is ‘DigitALL – Innovation and technology for gender equality.’
While we’ve come a long way, there is still a lot to do to reach gender equity. Better access to technology and digital resources is a key lever that can be pulled to reduce the barriers women face to starting or growing a business. At ygap, we’re proud that both gender and digitisation are two of the key themes that inform all the work we do.
Today, we’re sharing some of the incredible entrepreneurs we’ve supported through our programs. These women have frequently defied odds, stereotypes and real structural barriers to create businesses that are making a significant difference in the world, especially in the lives of other women.
